EPR Compliance Starts with Awareness: Fitsol to conduct E-Waste Programme
E-waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams, driven by shorter product lifecycles, rapid digitisation, and faster device replacement. On 25 August, Fitsol will conduct an e-waste and EPR awareness programme with Lava International, alongside a parallel programme for FCT.
The sessions will cover e-waste management, EPR and ESG, while highlighting how responsible segregation, authorised recycling, and traceability can turn waste from a compliance challenge into a resource.

For exporters, real, verifiable supplier-level emissions data is becoming increasingly important for accessing the European market.

Europe’s New Packaging Rules Are Now in Force
The EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) entered into application on 12 August 2026, introducing new requirements around packaging design, recyclability, recycled content, and materials. For businesses exporting to Europe, packaging compliance is increasingly becoming a design-stage decision, rather than something to address after production.

Singapore Proposes ISSB-Aligned Sustainability Reporting Standards
Singapore is proposing a new sustainability reporting framework aligned with global ISSB standards. The approach places climate-related disclosures at the centre, while giving companies more flexibility around broader sustainability information and Scope 3 emissions in the initial stages.
The proposed phased approach is also designed to give smaller businesses additional time to develop the systems, data and processes needed for reliable sustainability reporting.
