What’s New at Fitsol
Fitsol at Amazon India’s Sustainability Partner Connect
Fitsol participated at Amazon India’s Sustainability Partner Connect as one of the recognised GHG management platforms supporting supply chain partners on emissions measurement and reporting. The discussions reflected a growing focus on Scope 3 emissions, especially the challenge of tracking and managing emissions across supplier and logistics networks.
Using the GLEC framework, Fitsol helps organisations build more structured emissions visibility across logistics operations and supplier ecosystems. Fitsol is currently the only GLEC-certified player in India.
Fitsol Expands to Pune
Fitsol is expanding its presence with a new regional office in Pune, Maharashtra, to better support clients across the automotive and manufacturing ecosystem in West India. The Pune office will focus on green logistics and packaging solutions aimed at improving cost efficiency and reducing carbon emissions across industrial operations.
This expansion is part of Fitsol’s broader focus on building more structured climate, reporting, and compliance workflows across manufacturing ecosystems.

Around The World: Trends Shaping Climate & Business
CBAM Is Turning Carbon Data into a Trade Requirement
The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is turning emissions data into a practical trade requirement for companies exporting to Europe. Businesses will need more granular visibility into the carbon embedded in their products, pushing supplier collaboration, emissions tracking, and carbon data systems much higher up the priority list. The bigger shift is that carbon accounting is no longer just about reporting. It is increasingly becoming part of trade compliance, market access, and competitiveness.

IMO Pushes Stronger Shipping Emissions Standards
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has moved ahead with discussions on shipping emissions, pollution control, and ocean protection during its latest Marine Environment Protection Committee meeting. The focus is increasingly shifting towards tighter emissions standards, stronger monitoring systems, and more consistent measurement of shipping emissions across global trade routes. Overall, shipping emissions are moving closer to mainstream climate regulation and international trade compliance frameworks.

Indonesia Expands Reforestation Push Linked to Carbon Credits
Indonesia has announced plans to restore around 12 million hectares of degraded land as part of its broader climate and carbon market strategy. The initiative is aimed at strengthening ecosystem restoration while building a pipeline of nature-based carbon credits for global markets. The move reflects a larger shift towards integrating nature-based solutions into economic and climate planning, even as concerns around monitoring, additionality, and long-term credibility continue to shape global carbon markets.
